Many people have only experienced the mass production type of professional photography where you stand in line and wait for your 15 or 20 minute session in the same light , same pose, and same background as everyone else who came before you.

Imagine a photo session where your time is reserved for you and you are not rushed. You are able to bring several changes of clothes and items such as musical instruments, sports equipment, or collectibles that reflect the different facets of your personality. Clothing changes are only limited by the time we have, usually 3 or 4 in an hour. You can bring some extras so we'll have choices to match up with the setting. You can bring your own music to set your mood.

Maybe you have a favorite outdoor location or a special place in your home where you would like your portraits made. You don’t have to think within the boundaries of the studio. All types of sessions are available in the studio or on location: Senior, Child, Baby, Pregnancy, Bridal, Engagement, Couples, Family, Business,  Weddings, Parties. My studio is located in the historical Plemons district near downtown Amarillo within minutes of many excellent locations.

My photo sessions are relaxed and unhurried. I take my time and pay attention to details, striving to capture your unique and natural expression. I watch for the way the light casts a shadow on your face, giving depth. I watch for the way it highlights your hair and shoulders. That's the dance of shadows and light.  I look for  creative and innovative shots and enjoy trying something different. I like to hear your  ideas, those may create the best images.  I want your images to be unique and reflect your true spirit.

I use a professional digital SLR camera which gives me an enormous amount of creative freedom,  ensuring that I get that perfect expression. Digital photography also gives us the ability to view some of the images during the session, giving you reassurance that I'm capturing the look you want.

The high-resolution digital images are printed at a professional lab on photographic paper to achieve high quality results, and will not fade like inkjet paper prints.

Two types of paper are available, Lustre which has a matte finish, and Kodak Endura Metallic paper which features a unique pearlescent surface. All images can be ordered as a black and white or sepia toned print at no extra charge. Canvas prints are available, ask for a quote.

Facial retouching is included with 8x10 and larger sizes. Soften wrinkles, blemishes, brighten teeth and eyes. Additional prints of any size made from the same image will include the retouching.

Keep in mind different sizes will crop differently because of the length to width ratio.

25% discount for quantities of 5 or more from the same image in the same size 5x7 or larger.

Portrait Creation Fee

Sessions are $300 and last 1 to 2 hours in the studio, outdoors, or some of both.  You get a $200 credit towards prints or albums. Session fees are due when appointment is scheduled. An appointment for viewing your portraits will be arranged at the end of your session. Please be sure that your decision makers are present. Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover are accepted.
